Great read again Trevor. This Lakers team defensively are really impressive so far, the shooting though is historically bad (20+ years I heard you say?). There should be a ‘progression to the mean’ from some players like Pat Bev hopefully.

With the trade front, we surely need a minimum of 3, maybe 4-5 players via including Wenyen & Nunn (regrettably). Any combination of Richardson, McDermott, Hield, Turner, Theis, Beasley, Clarkson, Gay, Crowder. Hield alone doesn’t solve the shooting issue. What would be your optimum return from a Russ deal Trev?

Thanks!! The ideal return, if all of the packages don't yield enough firepower to turn the team into a contender, would be to do a trade that only costs 1 first with the likely trade-off of taking on more long-term salary like the Hornets deal with Rozier (I'm speculating they could do that for 1 first since they are absorbing a ton of future salary in a Rozier/Hayward swap). That would leave 1 first still available for the next trade to put them over the top. To give up both firsts in a deal LA has to be convinced that move puts them over the top.
